Privacy policy
Written for humans, not lawyers. Covers visitors from the US and anywhere else, with California (CCPA/CPRA) rights called out.
The short version
- You can use the calculator completely anonymously: contact details are optional.
- I collect your email, phone (if you give one) and your calculator inputs and results.
- I do not sell your data and never share it without your permission.
- Want it deleted? Email dm@donmarketer.com and it is gone within 30 days.
Who handles your data
Don Marketer is run by Michal Krčmář. For anything about your personal information, write to dm@donmarketer.com.
What I collect
- Email: only if you type it into the form under the calculator or on the guides page.
- Phone number with country code: an optional field, feel free to leave it blank.
- Your calculator inputs (industry, revenue, margin, company stage, budget) and the results.
- Site language and basic technical data needed to run the site (device type, rough country from your IP).
Why I collect it
- To send you your results and follow-up tips when you ask for them.
- To deliver a PDF guide you bought and keep the records that come with a sale.
- To see how the calculator is really used so I can make it better: reviewed in aggregate.
How long I keep it
- Contact details: until you ask me to stop, and no longer than 3 years after our last contact.
- Anonymous calculations with no contact details: up to 3 years, then deleted or kept only as aggregate stats.
- Purchase records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Who else sees it
I do not sell or rent your data, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. It is handled only by the vendors that make the site work: hosting and database, the email tool, and a payment provider once guides go on sale: each under contract and only for that purpose.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
- Right to know what personal information I collect, why, and who it goes to.
- Right to delete the personal information I hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information: I do not sell or share data, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request is honored in writing.
- Right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
If GDPR applies to you
Visitors from the EU also have access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection rights, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time. The Czech version of this page spells those out.
How to make a request
Email dm@donmarketer.com. I reply within 30 days and never charge for it. You can have an authorized agent make the request for you.
